Villion Henning Chenin Blanc 2023

Tasting Notes

Decadent entry of saline oystershell and freshly cut ripe yellow peach slices, revealing the wine’s spontaneous oak-fermentation nature and maritime origin. Perfumed layers of sweet cinnamon spice, vanilla pod and caramel custard. Subtle crushed stone flint and light lime and lemon peel, completes the intriguing bouquet.

Confident, light in body with a dried peach acidity, supported by saline-textured dominance. Lingering flinty mouthfeel, perfectly in balance with beautiful oyster-shell freshness, carried by a mouthwatering chalky pithiness, all attributed to the 40-year age of the vines.

Delightful already but will reward amply with a richer experience within the next 5 -15 years.
